The short version
DecideNext helps teams prioritize initiatives and run retrospectives. Your planning and retrospective data belongs to you. We do not sell it, rent it, share it, or use it for advertising, analytics, or training AI models. We run no trackers and no ads. Your data exists only to provide the service, and it stays until you delete it.
No accounts, minimal data
DecideNext has no sign-up and no user accounts. You access a table or board through a secret link, and we never ask for your name or email address to use the service. Participants choose whatever display name they wish to enter when they vote.
What we store
We store only the content you create so we can show it back to you and your team: your tables and retrospective boards, their initiatives and cards, the votes and scores people submit, comments, and the display names participants enter. This data is used solely to operate your table or board.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for their own use.
- We never use your data for advertising, and we show no ads.
- We run no behavioral tracking, no analytics, and no third-party marketing pixels.
- We never use your content to train AI or machine-learning models.
Third-party services
We keep outside services to a minimum. We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect the service from automated abuse; to do that, Google receives some technical information about requests and handles it under Google’s own privacy policy. The application itself runs on infrastructure operated by DecideNext. We do not use any other third-party service that receives your content.
Security
We protect your data with standard security practices. All traffic is encrypted in transit, and sensitive credentials such as passwords and API tokens are stored only in a hashed, non-reversible form — never in plain text. API tokens are revocable and expire automatically.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays only as long as you keep it. Deleting a table or board permanently removes it along with its initiatives, cards, votes, comments, and participants. Because there are no accounts, deletion is self-service: whoever manages the table or board can delete it at any time, which erases the associated data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
This is a plain-language summary of how DecideNext handles data. It describes our actual practices and is not legal advice.
