Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know to get started with DecideNext.
Is DecideNext free?
Yes. DecideNext is free to use and there is no sign-up. You create a prioritization table or a retrospective board and start immediately.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts or passwords to register. When you create a table or board you get a secret manager link; participants get their own secret voting links. Keep these links safe — anyone with a link can use it.
How do people join and vote?
The manager adds participants and shares each participant’s link. Participants open their link, choose a display name, and vote. Results update in real time and everyone can see them.
Which prioritization methods are supported?
ICE, RICE, MoSCoW, WSJF, Buy a Feature, Paired Comparison, and Weighted Decision Matrix. DecideNext also supports team retrospectives with cards, voting, and export.
Can I export the results?
Yes. You can export results to CSV, and you can take a full JSON backup of a table and restore it later. See the exporting and backup & restore guides.
Can I use DecideNext with AI or my own scripts?
Yes. DecideNext has a REST API that an AI agent or a script can drive on your behalf. From the manager dashboard you generate a revocable API token (under “API Access”) and use it as a bearer token. Explore it in the interactive API explorer or read the API documentation.
Is my data private?
Yes. We do not sell, share, or use your planning and retrospective data for anything beyond running the service, and we run no trackers or ads. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Delete your table or board from the manager dashboard. Deleting it permanently removes it along with its initiatives, cards, votes, comments, and participants.
I lost my manager link. Can I recover it?
Because there are no accounts, there is no password reset or link recovery. Keep your manager link somewhere safe — bookmarking it or saving a backup is a good idea.
